Town Representative to the West Shore Parks & Recreation Society

The West Shore Parks & Recreation Society is committed to providing diverse and accessible recreational opportunities that contribute to the health and well-being of the community as a whole.

As a member to the Society, the Town of View Royal is seeking a resident or property owner to volunteer as a Town representative on the West Shore Parks & Recreation Society Board of Directors for a one-year term.

The Board of Directors meets regularly on the second Thursday of each month, and is responsible for setting policy and guidelines for the operation of West Shore Parks & Recreation and its facilities through the Administrator and Staff.

View Royal residents or property owners with a demonstrated interest in parks, recreation, athletics and/or organized sports for both children and adults are encouraged to apply. Additionally, a background or expertise in the financial and operational complexities of community recreation facilities is considered an asset.

Interested individuals should submit a completed application form, available here or at Town Hall. Applications should be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on December 5, 2014 to:
