COVID-19 - Parks Update

June 4, 2020

Continuing a phased return to outdoor recreation, the Town is in the process of reopening playgrounds as well as basketball and tennis courts.  Open playgrounds include:

  • View Royal Park (includes exercise equipment)
  • Helmcken Centennial Park (includes basketball court and tennis court)
  • Portage Park
  • Chilco Park
  • Robin Hill Park/Upper Chilco Tot Lot
  • Chancellor Park (includes basketball court)
  • Evelyn Heights Park (does not include the basketball court - new hoop and repaired backboard will be installed next week)
  • Marler Park
  • Chalmers Park
  • Newstead Park

To be opened by end of day Friday, June 5:

  • Knollwood Park
  • Mellor Park
  • Remaining benches and picnic tables

Water fountains and baseball fields remain closed at this time.  Please continue to watch our website for updates.
