Participate in the Final Phase of Public Engagement for the Watkiss Way Neighbourhood Park

View Royal - The redevelopment of the property at the corner of Watkiss Way and Burnside Road by BC Transit provided a 1.5-acre linear space along Watkiss Way for the Town of View Royal to create a new neighbourhood park.

Last fall, we gathered community feedback to help shape the park’s design: a quiet park with seating, native plantings, trees and open space. This input was used to guide the development of a draft concept for the future neighbourhood park.

We want to hear from you!

Join us for a joint open house with BC Transit on November 17th. Come by to learn more about the design of the new Watkiss Way Park and the BC Transit landscape design at the new handyDART centre.

The handyDART Centre is in its final stages of construction and will open spring 2025. Preparation for landscaping has started and trees and shrubs will soon be planted along Burnside Road and the Galloping Goose Regional Trail.

Enjoy a warm drink and snack and learn from landscape architects, Town and BC Transit staff about upcoming plans.
