Town Budget & Financial Plan

Built on View Royal’s Strategic Plan, the Financial Plan supports the enhancement of livability in View Royal through investments in roads, parks and trails, fire services equipment, technology and a commitment to service excellence.

Each year the Financial Plan is updated, or rolled forward, for the next five-year cycle. The process typically starts in September with Council considering a proposed Financial Planning Calendar listing key dates when Council will be making decisions about the Financial Plan. Members of the public can express their opinions during the public participation segments of meetings when Council is considering these items, or by watching recorded videos of the meetings and providing feedback.

The following documents and tools are provied to help citizens and stakeholders understand the financial committments allocated to support the Town of View Royal's ongoing service delivery and to achieve Council's strategic objectives:

2024-2028 Financial Plan

All BC municipalities are required to complete a five-year financial plan and budget each year. View Royal’s 2024-2028 Financial Plan supports the enhancement of livability in View Royal through investments in roads, parks and trails, police and fire protection, technology, and a commitment to service excellence.

Each year before the Financial Plan is approved, interested constituents have an opportunity to review the proposed financial plan and learn what projects or operational changes are being considered.  Check back here in March 2025 for more information.
