Saltwater Marsh Restoration in View Royal Park

In coordination with the Town of View Royal, the Peninsula Streams Society will be completing a saltwater marsh restoration project within View Royal Park in July.

Restoration works will include planting native species to create a dense, shrubby riparian area that will establish well and fill in the space, consequently providing a great habitat for birds and small wildlife as well as food and nutrients to the estuary.

This project aligns with the Parks Master Plan to improve the ecological environment and help manage the landscape for climate change.
