View Royal Fire Rescue Welcomes New Assistant Fire Chief

View Royal, BC – View Royal Fire Rescue is pleased to announce the appointment of Kris Malinosky as its new Assistant Fire Chief. Malinosky brings 27 years of firefighting experience, including time with View Royal Fire from 1997 to 2002. Most recently, he was the Assistant Fire Chief with Oak Bay Fire. His leadership and deep understanding of fire service operations make him a valuable addition to the team.

“The staff and my office are excited to have Chief Malinosky back in View Royal. His strong work ethic and leadership skills make him a valuable addition to the View Royal Fire management team,” said Fire Chief Paul Hurst. “Chief Malinosky has a progressive vision and the energy to deliver results that will build on the existing and future fire service models in the Westshore.”

Malinosky shared his excitement about rejoining View Royal Fire Rescue, stating, “I am honoured to be back after 23 years at Oak Bay Fire. The strong culture and dedicated staff in View Royal and the Westshore make this an exciting opportunity, and I look forward to serving the community once again.”

As Assistant Fire Chief, Malinosky will support the department’s emergency response, training programs, and fire prevention initiatives, ensuring the continued safety and well-being of View Royal residents.
